Milo T20 Blast School Year 6/7 Cricket Cup at Adelaide Oval

On Tuesday 14th November the girls’ team who won our local T20 Cricket bash at Goolwa, represented our District playing 5 games of T20 Cricket at Adelaide Oval. The girls tried their hardest, had fun and enjoyed the opportunity to play cricket on the Adelaide Oval. Unfortunately, we did not win the day but we had a great time, and I am sure the girls are grateful for the experience that many can only dream about. Thanks to Natarsha for volunteering to supervise the team at Goolwa and at Adelaide Oval. Thanks also to all the family members who came and cheered us on.

Kindy activity

Further Kindy activities were run in Week 3 by some Year 6 students. The students ran, with Trina’s support, small PE skills sessions for our neighbouring Kindergarten students. Congratulations to the Year 6 students who ran this program. They were all very organised and treated the younger students with respect and understanding. They all did a fantastic job. The kindergarten students had a great time and learnt lots from them. Well done to all involved. It is anticipated that this program will run in Term 2 and 3 next year, twice a term.

Milo T20 Blast School Year 6/7 Cricket Cup at Goolwa Oval

The MILO T20 Blast School Cup for Year 6/7’s was held at Goolwa Oval on Tuesday 31st October. We had 4 teams participate, 1 boys team and 3 girls teams. Thank you to Tyann, Natarsha, Jed, Jayde and Shane who supervised a team on the day. The students had a great day playing and learning a lot about cricket. The boys team finished 5th for the day, which is a fantastic result. The girls teams finished 1st and the other 2 teams drew 3rd. This is a fabulous achievement and testament to the amount of time these teams put in to practice during their break times. The girls team who finished first have now been invited to compete in the State Carnival at Adelaide Oval on Tuesday November 14th. We wish the girls all the best and an enjoyable experience.

ANZ Tennis Hot Shots (ANZTHS) Year 4/5 Competition

Our District Gala Day was held on Thursday 28th September at Port Elliot Tennis Club. We had 3 teams participate. Thank you to Sharon, Tyann and Obe who supervised the teams on the day and also assisted us walking there and back. Without this adult support we could not participate in days like these. All teams tried really hard and had a great day, learning a lot about the beginning stages of tennis. We had one team finish 3rd, another 7th and the other finished 8th. Once again, I’d like to congratulate our students on displaying respectful, responsible sportsmanship skills all day.
